"Hey, I was born ready!" - Monkey

Rat-ified is a Metal Maniacs car that is driven by Monkey. It was destroyed by a Sweeper, when Monkey was willing to get captured in order to hijack the machine.

History

It was first seen during Breaking Point, in the Metal Maniacs' garage when Taro was fixing his car.

After Monkey and Nolo were caught by a Sweeper in the Metro Realm, Monkey realized that Sweepers assumed each car it took apart being left-handed (i.e., steering wheel mounted on the left side of the cockpit) to extract the driver inside of it. With that in mind, Monkey specifically built Rat-ified right-handed to escape capture. This comes to use in Kurt's plan to infiltrate the Racing Drones' HQ and rescue Markie, by hijacking a Sweeper to do so. It was only driven in the first half of the Cosmic Realm, before it was destroyed by a Sweeper as part of the plan.

• Rat-ified is one of only two Metal Maniacs cars to be right-hand drive, the other being Power Bomb.
• Powered by a V12 engine, Rat-ified is one of the only two Metal Maniacs cars to be powered by an engine of more than eight cylinders. The other is Spine Buster, powered by a V10.
• The name "Rat-ified" is split from the word "ratified" (present tense: ratify), means something becomes official or valid. "Rat" in this context, means "rat rod" a type of custom car that is structurally simple and really fast. In this case, it means Monkey is finally ready alongside his teammates, proving his worth as a teammate.
• This is one of the only cars to have entered only one realm, others being Deora II, Slingshot, '70 Plymouth Road Runner and Flathead Fury.
• It is also one of the three cars in the movies that can go to 300 mph completely on its own (without Nitrox 2 and track boosters), the others being Reverb and RD-09
  • This means Rat-ified is the fastest car among the Metal Maniacs.
• The die-cast model is one of the only cars of Acceleracers toyline that has its Hot Wheels flame symbol on the body. In this case, it's debossed on the engine.
• In the Monkey wallpaper, the cockpit is somewhat at the center of the body instead of the right side.
